How to make slime no glue

This fluffy slime is really is to make and has no glue!

Well I have good news! Today I’ll be sharing a recipe that will show you how to make poofy slime without glue (and without borax — talk about a win-win). You’ll have to get a little bit creative with the ingredients you use. Not to worry though as you’ll still end up with an incredibly poofy homemade slime that your kids will love to play with.

As I mentioned above, not only can you make this slime without needing to use any glue, but it’s also made even more kid-friendly because you won’t be needing borax to make your activator. Instead of borax, you’ll be using one of my favorite slime activators — contact lens solution.

Before you need to use the contact lens solution as an activator however, you’ll need to first place the peel off face mask (make sure that it includes polyvinyl alcohol!) in a bowl along with ½ cup of shaving foam. Mix them to combine and then add in ½ teaspoon of cornstarch and an equal amount of baking soda.

It’s up to you what type of food coloring you’d like to add in for your slime — my kids seem to always love going with green or orange. Whatever you prefer, go ahead and add it in along with ⅛ teaspoon of body lotion.

After you’ve mixed all of the ingredients together, you can then start to gradually add in your contact lens solution activator, stirring it in slowly as you pour it. It won’t take long for the activator to transform your mixture into slime. You’ll notice that it gets tougher to mix as this happens — that’s your cue to take it out and start to knead and stretch it.

I usually let my kids take over at this point because they always get a huge kick out of stretching the slime out, even more so when it’s a poofy slime like this one. Once the slime is no longer sticking to your hands, it’s ready to be played with. Just make sure to store it in an airtight container when it’s no longer in use so it stays good!
